Bangkok!

April 4th, 2008 by KayKay

Last week, I went on a trip to Bangkok with 8 of my other good friends and we had an absolute blast. For about 700SGD (cheap airfare and 4-star accomodation included), we shopped, ate and drank a lot. Below is a summary of our trip there:

Ah… Ok guys let’s go back there tomorrow. Set.

Bondevia in JB

June 30th, 2007 by Jonathan

Wooo, the video of our day trip in Malaysia is out!

Here’s some information just for you if you are planning to travel there by public transport.

Take bus 170 from Queens Street or you can take bus CW1 from Kranji MRT Station
Bus 170 goes to Larkins Bus Terminal while CW1 will take you to kota Raya (Which is pretty near City square)

One more thing, you wouldn’t be seeing the likes of Slackaroo and Kid around often because they have officially enlisted into National Service. They don’t even have time for friends anymore :(

Bondevia in Bangkok

May 31st, 2007 by Jonathan

Happy Vesak Day!

Finally I’m done with the productions for Bondevia Show 3: Bangkok

It was a blasting 4 days with 2 of my crew mates and 3 other good friends of mine. Just to provide you with a little extra information before the show.

We booked our trip through a travel agent, but we went there free-and-easy.

Travel Agent: NemoTravel
Contact number: 63965181
Website: www.nemotravel.com.sg
Price for entire trip: SGD366 (Inclusive of accommodation)
Duration: 4 Days 3 Nights
Hotel: Asia Hotel (Located at Ratchathewi BTS SkyTrain station)
Hotel Ratings: 3 to 4 Stars
Bondevia’s Rating: Brilliant!!!

Enjoy the show! :)

Part 1

Part 2

Places to visit in Bangkok:

  1. Chatuchak Weekend Market (Mo Chit BTS Station)
  2. Suan Lum Night Bazaar (Lumphini Train Station)
  3. MBK Center (Siam Train Interchange)
  4. Siam Paragon (Siam Train Interchange)
  5. Central World (Chit Lom BTS Station)
  6. Pratunam Area (Chit Lom BTS Station)

All the modern malls there are really huge (think 1.5 times the size of Vivo City). Personally I feel that it is possible to just stay in one Mall (especially Siam Paragon) for the entire day without getting bored. There’s a Cineplex, IMAX theatre, Siam Ocean World, Bowling Alley, Shopping Area, Food Level and a 4D Show Theatre. Enough to keep you occupied for the entire day. If that’s not enough there’s also a Royal Paragon Convention Hall to hold exhibitions and trade shows. Siam Paragon, the epitome of Bangkok Shopping, feeling the Singapore vibe smack in the middle of Bangkok.

Travel Tips:

  1. Never let a Tuks Tuks driver overcharge you. Always quote the lowest price possible and when I say lowest, I really mean DAMN low.
  2. Take a Taxi and be sure to ask him to turn on the meter.
  3. Prices of goods sold in the flea markets are always inflated for tourist. Be sure to look out for signs of pricing every now and then and try to slash every thing by half. Really, they sell the stuff to local Thais cheaper.
  4. Take care of your belongings. Try to keep your bags in front of you.
  5. Be firm to reject Taxi drivers who offer you a ride to Jewel Factories or any other location that you don’t intend to visit. Say no with a really LOW AND STERN voice, telling him that you are the devil and you’d ensure his brutal death or you can simply call the Thai Tourist Police at 1155.
  6. Speaking simple Thai would aide you further in getting a discount.
    Discount: Lod Noy
    Expensive : Pang
    Greeting: SawadiKup (Males), Swadikaa (Females)
Thank You: KapunKup (Males), KapunKaa (Females)
    Omkai: Blow Job
    NianTat: Fuck
    No: Miao
  7. Go for the Freaking Thai Massage, you wouldn’t regret :)
  8. The Thai Girls show (Woman playing with their private parts) is really an eye opener. Do not pay more than 300 Baht for it and try not to order any drinks other than the complimentary drinks given at the beginning of the show.

Now you’re officially Bangkok-Ready.

Please leave your comments after the entry ok? Thank you!

Back from Down under

April 7th, 2007 by Jonathan

Hey guys,

Slackaroo here. Probably the first time I’m officially blogging.

I’ve just returned from Cairns, Australia with my parents a couple of days back. And right now as I am typing this entry, I’m actually in Perth visiting my elder brother.

Let me just give you some brief info on my Cairns trip eh.

day 1

Took Quantas from Singapore to Sydney, a total of 7 hours. And then another 3 hours from Sydney to Cairns because there wasn’t any direct flight from Singapore to Cairns.

Prom Night 2007

Day 2 is interesting as we made bookings to dive in the Great Barrier reef. We started off with just snorkeling before moving on to scuba diving. Snorkeling was for lazy people, you lie on a foam tube and just play alongthe surface of the water. Diving on the other hand, is what I call fun. It’s not the first time I went diving anyways.

Day 2
Day 2

Check out Mummy Slackaroo. Isn’t she cute?? Haha. And it was a regulation to wear a diving suit before entering the water. This is to safeguard us from intense sun burns and of course jelly fish stings. Oh yah, and to give us buoyancy too.

Day 2
Day 3

I was only pretending to be scared in front of the camera. Things I do to entertain people!! Haha.
