Goodbye
April 30th, 2008 by
Dear Readers,
Friends for all over the net. Firstly let me just thank all of you for supporting Bondevia. As you all know we’ve come a long way from the little blogspot blog to the Entertainment blog you see today. As much as I would love to continue this quest to entertain all of you, I deeply regret to inform you that I do not possess such capabilities anymore.
Bondevia, I’ve realised, is a website that is very hungry for content. And I am afraid that doing what I’m doing now (serving the nation) I am unable to feed the blog’s extreme hunger. I know I’ve got a very reliable crew to help with the website about a year ago, and yes they did a wonderful job in maintaining the website for me. But all boys will have to serve the nation one day and all three of them will be enlisting this year.
Now I am left without a choice, Bondevia has to shut down. And with that I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the supporters of Bondevia, thank you for keeping this website alive. I apologise for not being able to entertain you further. Take care and rest assure that one day, Bondevia will make a come back. Just wait and see.
Meanwhile my email address is still active. If you need to contact me, do so at
Yours sincerely,
Jonathan Lai

Movie Review: Iron Man
April 30th, 2008 by
Marvel Studio’s first self-financed blockbuster. Does it fly or does it bite dust?! (I gotta work on my intro.. sheesh)
3.5 out of 5 popcorns
Iron Man has alot going for it - an A-list ensemble, a fanboy director and the CGI wizardry of Industrial Light & Magic. The end result is a entertaining movie, although at times it could have offered much much more.
Based upon Marvel’s iconic Super Hero, IRON MAN tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he eventually returns to America, he vows to right the wrongs and protect the world as Iron Man.
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark could not have been a more excellent choice as he spat one-liners and oozed charisma in almost every scene he has with women… even men! (in an army vehicle, no less.). He and Gwyneth Paltrow certainly had chemistry in the scenes they shared, but in all honesty I really couldn’t care about Pepper Potts… maybe it’s just me, meh. Terrence Howard felt like he was just there, but there was a singular awesome shot of him looking over to the Iron Man suit saying “Next time, baby”… I say, bring on War Machine hell yeah!! Baddie Jeff Bridges was pretty good, I really almost couldn’t tell it was him all along until the end, but his transformation from mentor/business partner to Iron Monger was pretty sudden. I wish there were more built up to that.
Only itching thing I have with this movie is that there weren’t enough action scenes. You get Iron Monger vs Iron Man as the only really big action piece in the movie, and the rest were just Iron Man taking on some terrorists and flying. Somehow, the fight on the highway with Iron Monger reminded me alot of Optimus Prime vs Bonecrusher from Transformers… just that it lasted a lot shorter.
To sum it up, Iron Man will be worth your dollar. Even if you have zero inkling if who he is, this film should answer almost all your queries and more. For the comic fans, it’s a solid adaptation of the beloved machine.

Jayden wants some debugging on his bed
April 27th, 2008 by
but that doesn’t mean hot ladies hogging his bed and finding syntax errors or how he sleeps with a pajamas.

Bed Bugs! Blood Suckers!!!
Dengue is indeed in the rise in Southeast Asia continents and Singapore is religiously part of this Dengue epidemic. But we do not realize that Bed bugs are on the rise and sneaking into beds!
Click for larger picture of this friend!
You might be having a good deal of time grinding with your girlfriend on the bed but pssst! You are not alone, the bed bugs are enjoying the iGallop experience(the bouncing up and down on the bed lah!) with you and your girlfriend.
My buddy from Shanghai has gotten this bed bugs epidemic in his small little rented room and because of this, he spent a great deal of time and money experimenting insecticides and other old traditional tactics to wipe out bed bugs. He thought it was over until he saw BED BUGS EGG CASE stuck just below his bed rims! That means there is papa, mama and babies; one HUGE family of bed bugs. This small little red dots are just simply indestructible, they are like red insects created from Terminator 3.
Though my buddy is one of the closest victims to be affected this menace but my dear readers do not know him as well as this guy that I am featuring.
Here’s another victim who recently attended to Nuffnang’s Pajama party at KL, Jayden. To know what really happened to him and his ordeal, click on the image and read what he has to say about MR. BEDBUG (he names it) or click here.
Therefore, we are trying to help this 2 poor souls and the rest who are having the exact same menacing problem on their bed! I have some suggestions (aka debugging solutions) but I do need readers to post up their solutions if they do have some! All comments are valuable to Jayden and anti-bedbugs buddies (ABBB).
Let me get the ball going and getting the first steps for bedbugs to be extinct! I wonder, why do we have such a species on earth which is so redundant and meaningless? At least cockroaches (pronounced as COCK roaches) has something valuable instilled in them. They degrade rubbish waste into shit.
Nevertheless, here are my 2 cents worth solutions.
- Using green lemon, cut it into longitudinal slices and rub the juices along the border of the mattress. The border of the mattress has to be flipped up and rub the juices underneath the border. Kill those bedbugs that are hiding underneath the mattress border.
Using a bug spray that cost more than 15 bucks. This are not your typical insecticides like Bygone but a spray specialized in killing bugs, not insects. Try to get those sprays that are oil based, not water based as the chances of bedbug death is low ( as the bed bugs might think you’re showering them though).
Here you go my dear readers! Post up some few better solutions for busting bedbugs and try to help Jayden out!

3. Not forgetting to buy Vanish to wash your mattress. “Trust Pink, Forget Stains!”

Will Beijing Olympics be boycotted?
April 12th, 2008 by
You’ve heard about it almost anywhere in newspapers, news and radio. You’ve even heard it from your friends about the widespread protests on Beijing Olympics. (2nd hottest debate to Mas Selamat Escapade. He might be enjoying eating Rambutans in the jungle though.)
China’s handling of the unrest in Tibet, rocked last month by the worst anti-government riots in decades, has sparked calls for an Olympic boycott.
Though China government has tried to draw the line between China’s politics and their own glorious event, Olympics 2008, people worldwide are still not convinced. Do you think that China government do not have enough human rights to their own people or rather, the Tibetans?
Presently, organizers were forced to cut short of the relay or make last minute route changes to avoid waiting protesters. But is it good news for Pro-Beijing Olympic supporters?

Protesters have made the relay an inconvenient experience to organizers and fans worldwide. Olympic Touch relay has been playing ‘Hide and Seek’ in San Fransisco and personally, I think it’s going to play ‘Hide & Seek’ till it reaches back in Beijing.
“I’m disappointed, annoyed, tired, frustrated. I mean, it’s not every day you get to see the Olympic torch.” - Miss Sydnet Sullivan, 18.
“We were cheated, because I think the meaning of the relay was to show the whole world that our country is hosting the Olympics.” - Mr Micheal Huo, a Chinese engineer working in the US.
(See figure on the left, Map of San Fransisco) Red line is the original route but however, the route was modified and shortened to the blue line.
Dear Readers, what are your views and say? Post up a comprehensive and detailed comment on your thoughts, views on Beijing Olympics and whether should the Beijing Olympic Relay continue or boycott it (for the safety of civilians over Anti- Beijing Olympic Terrorism)?
Best Comment wins a full featured post to Bondevia with their names and details on it. (You could be the one that thousands and millions of Netizens viewing your own post to Bondevia, Your Entertainment Blog!)

- I know your colleague loves to talk with their hands waving around thus distracting your work, but that doesn’t mean you could…
- I know that your laptop runs slower than expected due to bad written softwares, but that doesn’t mean you could…
