Thomson Road Devil’s Bend Claims 2 Young Lives

This is why, even after repeated persuasion from one of my close friends, I will never go near that stretch of road. On behalf of the crew, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased who also happen to be our fellow poly-mates. Rest in peace.

A LATE night spin for four buddies on what used to be a Grand Prix track here came to a tragic end when the car plunged more than one metre down a slope, and slammed sideways into trees, killing two of them in the back seat.

The two dead passengers - both students of Nanyang Polytechnic, were apparently not wearing seatbelts. The driver, a Republic Polytechnic student and front passenger, also from Nanyang Poly, survived with injuries.

The four youths, aged between 18 and 20, were trapped in the Mitsubishi Lancer, and rescuers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force had to extricate them.

RIP: Heath Ledger

Wow. I am really stunned by the news because I was really looking forward to watching him play The Joker in The Dark Knight, and now it’s just going to be really weird watching him in the movie. But the reality is Heath Ledger is dead at the age of 28.

Actor Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday of a possible drug overdose in a Lower Manhattan apartment, the New York Police Department said.

Ledger was found naked and unresponsive, facedown on the floor at the foot of his bed by a housekeeper trying to wake him for an appointment with a masseuse, said police spokesman Paul Browne.

“Pills were found in the vicinity of the bed,” he told CNN.

“This is being looked at as a possible overdose, but that is not confirmed yet.”

Browne later told reporters some prescription medications were found in the room, including sleeping pills.

But he stressed police have made no determination of the cause of Ledger’s death — that would be done by the medical examiner.

Extremely talented actor… what a sad loss for Hollywood.

Hiatus

Thanks for all the positive comments on the 2 videos, it keeps us going and motivated to come up with bigger and better productions!

With that said, I am here to apologise beforehand that the updates will keep more sporadically as before as the three of us are approaching our polytechnic crunch week. That’s right, the dreaded tests and exams (afterall, we are only students ): ).

So once again for the next 3-4 weeks or so Bondevia will be on a hiatus. When we are back however, expect even more videos and even podcasts (YES! PODCAST OMGZ!) so don’t forget to check back for that okay!

MRT is a tube train for hibernation.

No doubt, Milobillabong has captured an episode of a guy sleeping like there’s no tomorrow. Using my k800i, I pretended that I was smsing but actually, I was recording and was astonished how he sleeps on the MRT! His head was knocking down on his bag countless of times but still, that didn’t make him wake up!

Beware of suspects pretending to be smsing on the train!

penny DREADFUL

I watched a movie today. penny DREADFUL it is.
Yes, today! Notice why the title isn’t Penny Dreadful?
You are right! That movie is really dreadful.
Yes, to me and my 3 poor friends.
Luckily we wasted just merely 6 bucks.

First of all, remember not to enter a cinema with just less than 10 people inside.
Secondly, this whole movie is kinda budget.
The number of people that is involved - 8.
Number of cars - 3
And with an abrupt ending.
Just go and imagine.

All of us are fuming as we stepped out of the cinema. Haha!

If you never watched a bad example of movie before, you just got one.
