Old Changi Hospital 3

September 5th, 2006 by Jonathan

This is the third and probably the best expedition the Bondevia Crew had in OCH. Well prepared with the biggest torches and most powerful camera money can buy. Ok, maybe not the most expensive camera that money can buy, rather the most expensive camera we can get with infra red imaging.

Bondevia is back to investigate into the supernatural realm of OLD CHANGI HOSPITAL!!!

Honestly the place isn’t as scary as you think it is. I am probably the biggest skeptic in the world when it comes to the paranormal phenomenon. Even though the photos in my previous entries were somewhat clues that the supernatural realm might, MIGHT exist, I still believe in some way or another, those ‘things’ just coincidentally look like spirits.

All 6 of us did not encounter any anomalies yesterday during our visit. Yes, maybe one or 2 maybe be a little frantic during the entire excursion, other then that we were all having fun.

Let the Pictures do the talking

Those of you who have read any article related to OCH would have read about the infamous underground bunkers of the 1942 British Battery that is located right underneath the facade. All of us had 2 goals in mind last night, or rather I had 2 goals in mind, one is to locate the entrance of the underground bunker and the other was to locate the notorious Pentagram room. We’ve managed to locate the latter but we still have yet to achive the first goal of locating the bunker entrance.

We found clues to prove that a bunker does exist in the area, just that we had no idea on how to get to the entrance. As you can see from the pictures, this is probably some form of ventilation shaft. See the holes they have at the side, this was also a long metal tube sticking out of the side. One of my friends suggested that it could actually be gun turrets. Let’s just ignore that. Haha.

The only abnormal photo I have is this.

There was no smoke, in the area. And it couldn’t have been dust ’cause that would have affected the other photographs also. So what could explain this smokey figure taken in the picture? Could it be a wandering spirit? Could it be… BOO! Ok, I’m sure it’s not a spirit. Maybe you can help me out a little here by telling me what do you thing this could be.

We were not alone in the vicinity by the way. A group of chalet patrons were there to tour the premises of the previously Japanese Occupation Torture grounds. Apparently 1 of them fell because of the slippery passageway on the second level.

And, and, and, here’s a picture of the Pentagram room.

Noticed I just called it the pentagram room and not the ‘Satanic Cult Ritual’ room. This pentagram could have been drawn by some vandals to spook others and now they would most probably be laughing at people who got fooled into thinking that some cult actually practice in this area. Nobody would know the real explanation seriously.

But if you asked me if the pentragram represented Satan like what all the gothic people say, I would say no. It is merely a pagan symbol, nothing more and nothing less. Please don’t argue with me that pagan’s are Satanic.

Yo Bro.. Nice site. BTW I was from NCC Air(1992 - 2000). We used to be situated at Changi Airbase from 1995 onwards. And had our annual field camps at the old barracks at the back of the Camp. THey were near the old British Buildings. Anyway… those are really bad palces to be. I had to do rounds at nights to make sure that the cadets were sleeping and not galavanting.

Soory presed the enter key by mistake… Anyway to continue.

Whenever i did my rounds, my hair would stand when i neared the dining hall…

There was this one building that we used for our dining hall. Next to it was a room that was used as a lecture room. THe lights for the area just outside this room doesnt work BUT the lights for the room itself work AND cannot be turned off.

This room was used in our first field camp there. The following camp this room was boarded up AND the lights was still on.
