My Urban Couture

Hello Guys!

June 29th, 2006 by Jonathan

I am so back in Singapore! Just a quick update cause I am feeling unwell and very exhausted. I’ll be posting pictures and of course the videos in time to come. For now let me just give you a brief write up on what place I have visited over the past 4 days.

Day 1:
Touched down in Hong Kong at 2 pm. Visited the Hong Kong Tourism Board for a presentation before moving on to an extravagant dinner at a Chinese restaurant. After which we visited the Avenue of stars and saw the laser light shows on the Hong Kong a skyline.

Checked in at 8 plus, before moving over to Ladies market for shopping. Bought tones of stuff, although fake but it was a good bargain.

Day 2:
Formal wear day, oh how much I hate it. So much that I decided not to take any pictures on that day. Visited the Hong Kong City University for a tour before being divided into 2 groups for hotel inspections at either the Kowloon Shangri-La or the Hong Kong Shangri-la.

Went to Lang ham shopping centre. 12 storey total, very eye opening. Especially when you look up the super long escalator. Stood at the landing on the 13th storey to take pictures. Our legs literally turned into jelly.

Day 3:
OCEAN PARK! They are going to be upgraded soon in order to keep up with Hong Kong Disneyland. Sad to say, I traveled 3000 odd km to take the corkscrew roller coaster but it was closed for maintenance on that day. Nonetheless, we still had our fair share of fun with The Abyss and the wheel wagon. Oh, oh, oh, and the Viking.

Farewell dinner at some Chinese restaurant that didn’t taste good at all. Before going shopping at Tsim Sha Tsui.

Day4:
Disneyland. I only have 1 word for it. HOT, actually it’s REALLY HOT. BUT I totally enjoyed myself.

Many people for the HK group backed out last minute because they heard rumors from their friend’s friend friend that Disney was boring. Ok, I admit the park is small as compared to the other Disney parks but since you have this opportunity to be treated like VIP Disney guest and also get tickets at discounted prices, why not just go for it?

Disney HK will only be boring if you go there subsequently, I must say this. But it is definitely an eye-opener for people who never had an opportunity to see Mickey face to face, or even touch Daisy “toufu” ass. Life is all about opportunities; don’t base what you do on what others think until you have tried it out for yourself. That is how we learn, and now I am sure most of them would have learnt their lesson.

So that’s my little brief entry. Bondevia is so disgusting now. I went on a holiday and my veiwers go on holiday too. This is sad. But I still love my loyal readers.

Goodbye guys!

June 25th, 2006 by Jonathan

Ok! Just a quick entry before I leave for Hong Kong. If I ever have internet access there, I will update. But for now I will just have to depend on Slacks and Molo. Doubt they would do anything. Maybe you guys should tag until they post.

Haha, whatever. I’m so excited I don’t think I can sleep. Time flies and now I am going Hong Kong. Stay tune for The Bondevia Show: Hong Kong Edition.

Love you guys!

Fools’ Fest

June 23rd, 2006 by Jonathan

Note: Please load all the videos before you read this entry for 100% uninterrupted entertainment. Right.

HOOO, say say say. Hello everyone! How was your day? Mine was fine, I was over at the Singapore Expo this morning to attend the Communic Asia 2006 exhibition. Nothing much really, just alot of cool gadgets, some of which have yet to be released in Singapore. Whatever it is, I don’t want to digress anymore. Let me get straight to what today’s entry is about, fools.

First let us travel more than a thousand miles over to Canada, a lady is having her auditions for Canadian Idol.

Nice song right. I really like the lyrics, “I totally just farted, I totally just farted..” So much expression in her audition! Thank god they said she was in! Haha, well you don’t see stuff like this in Singapore, I hope. Maybe Rahimah might do the same thing. Haha.Next we move back to Asia, our distant neighbour Japan where you find all sorts of uniquely creative people. I mean it, really uniquely creative.

Is he married? If he is, his wife is probably too impatient on bed. Look at the technique!Ok, next it could Taiwan, China or even Singapore (I really hope it’s not Singapore). The next pop sensation, these girls will grow up to be superstars one day.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Maybe they can try auditioning for a Bollywood role or something. Hey, seriously they are good ok! I mean, just look at them go!!

What did photo bucket do to my gif file!!

And for the biggest fool of all time. Him.

What was he thinking (or was he even thinking in the first place). I admire daredevils, but I those guys are professionally trained and all there stunts are planned systematically. What abt this fella here? Haha, if he needs someone to do his nose, he can look for MJ for a referral.

Singapore Idol on Bondevia

June 22nd, 2006 by Jonathan

Did you watch the Results show for the Gals Episode 4 just now? I did, and I was disappointed again.

The Guys’ episodes were highly predictable I must say, you could actually guess who will be going into the top 12. Episode 1, It was pretty easy to say Jonathan (I wonder if all Jonathans are this good :D) and Paul Twohill will be breezing into the top 12. Episode 3 Joakim and Hardy also looked very promising.

Thing is, I didn’t want Rahimah Rahim and Emilee to get in?? What happened to Geraldine? Rahimah’s performance to my opinion was horrible. So much exaggeration and her voice was 100% unnatural. Well, some of you might disagree with me, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that’s how I feel about that crybaby.

Did you see her face while waiting for the results to be announced? That girl was on the verge of bursting into tears. If she did I would be so tempted to find some way to slap her. I know she a girl afterall, why can’t I understand that right? I just can’t! Joining a prestigious competition like Idol definitely requires you to go through alot of stress and yes ALOT OF CRITICISM. If you can’t take it, don’t join it!

She’s related to the famous Rahimah Rahim. Apparently she’s her aunt’s IN-LAW. So there is not trace of the famous singer’s blood in her at all, might as well don’t say it.

As for Emilee, hey girl! What up with all the curly wurly words? Just listening to you makes me feel that you belong to Channel U’s Jue Dui Super Star (however you spell the Chinese Han yu Pin Yin). No, you don’t belong to Singapore Idol. I seriously think Meryl should be in the Top 12.

So, they were announcing which ousted contestant will re-enter the competition through the wild card rounds. And I was so delighted to see that both Meryl and Geraldine got in! But I saw something that wasn’t pleasant at all. And I am pretty sure that I wasn’t the only one.

Meryl got called out first before Geraldine. When geraldine’s name was called, she walked over to the chosen contestants and hugged them one by one until she reached Meryl, she just by passed her and when on to hug Jay. Well if I recall correctly it was Geraldine who was bitching about Meryl during the boot camp episode. And Meryl still attempted to try to give Geraldine a hug. Poor showmanship for Geraldine BUT I still love her.

My Work

June 21st, 2006 by Jonathan

Haha, I can’t help it but to feel so happy.

Do you know how good it feels to see somebody wearing something you designed? Let alone an entire batch of students wearing the same thing. I really can’t help but to smile and punch Slackaroo through my entire bus journey.

Yup, this is my work. But it differs greatly from the original logo that I’ve designed. Don’t ask me why ’cause you will hurt my artist pride. But if you ask me, I really liked my previous designs. Sad to say, this was the one that was chosen. But glad that Torusim Students will be wearing the polo-tee.

Anyone interested to see the rest of the designs can email me. I’ll gladly send it to you. There are roughly about 20 files. All TRM logos but different designs.

Friday Night Highlights

June 17th, 2006 by Jonathan

Ok, maybe I underestimated Argentina last night. I placed my bets on Argentina scoring 1 - 0 and 2 - 0. The scary thing is at 35 mins they have already scored 2 goals! And I knew instantly than chances of winning money from that match was already na na.

Final score last night

Argentina [6 - 0] Serbia & M.

Here are the highlights for the match

OOOH I am so happy! I bet 3 total goals for Netherlands Vs Ivory Coast. And at half-time the score was already 2 - 1. So I lost all hope because Ivory Coast was playing quite well in the first half. And I thought maybe they will make a come back at the second half. Little did I know that the second half would be so boring and the score would remain stagnant. Woo Hoo!

Final Score for this match,

Netherlands [2 - 1] Ivory Coast

As for the highlights of this wonderful match.

Van Persie’s Amazing Free Kick! I was really stunned!

So Beautifully crafted. Ruud Van Nistlerooy.

The goal that won me Moolah! Bakary Kone.

So I am a happy man today! As I walk over to Singapore Pools to collect my winnings!

Betting

June 16th, 2006 by Jonathan

I lost money in the Argentina vs Serbia & M. match . The score was 6-0, I mean who could have expected that right? So unpredictable. I won’t say how much money I have lost but, it’s not alot.

I also betted on the Holland vs Ivory Coast match which is currently still on right now. I bet total goals, 3 goals! and now, it near half time and its already Holland 2 - 1 Ivory Coast. 3 goals! So what are my chances of winning money in this match?? Close to zero ’cause there’s still another half.

But I have to admit, Van Persie’s free kick was really amazing. I sat in front of my television is aww. I’ll give the highlights tomorrow. For now, let me worry about my match!

Peace.

PS: To the childish spammer, if you do not like my blog. Do not come. If you choose to spam on my tag-board I won’t stop you, ’cause we’re living in a free world. But your tags is a testimony of your immaturity. Although no name was written, you understand yourself best. And psychologically you would realise that your actions are purely childish. Even though you didn;’t ask for my forgiveness, I still forgive you. And I really pity you.

England Vs T&T

June 16th, 2006 by Jonathan

So did you guys catch the match between england and Trinidad last night? Just to let some of you know, at that point of time, England has yet to score their first goal in the group stages. In their previous match, which they (England) luckily won Paraguay 1-0, it was Gemerra who scored the own goal for england.

So last night, our dear friend Peter Crouch actually scored the first goal for England in the group stages. Way the go Chopsticks Monkey. Heard he wouldn’t be doing the robo dance unless England wins the worldcup. And true to his words, he didn’t. Oh, I forgot to add, that dumbass was under no pressure when he was just in front of the keeper and he missed the volley by a mile. Thank you molomolo for that comment.

Like they say, the only reason why they put him on the first team is because of his height advantage. And the only useful part of his body for the game is his empty head.

Anyways, here are the highlights for last night’s match,

England 2 - 0 Trinidad & Tobago.

The header by Peter Crouch

Gerrard’s Goal

The Offsided Goal
