Local Home Productions Part 1

Yup the title says it all. These are home videos produced locally by Singaporeans.

Ah, maybe its the sound of SIA’s Airbus A380 that clogged the ears of our very innocent Girl 2.

The next video you wil lbe seeing is by a bunch of talented Indian and Chinese individuals who knows who to rock to the beat of Jay-Z.

What was that about? You figure. But I gotta admit some parts were really funny.

Street Running
Yup, this is a local team of Street Runners. You can check out those street runners in the UK. They are Effing good. I don’t know how these local guys are doing right now. But jumping off buildings in Singapore, that’s illegal. But anyhows, this guys got a great future in Street Running.

The Sillypore Paranormal Investigators

Being a very big fan of papranormal phenomenon. I have always been intrigued by local stories and local investigations. But one particular organization in Singapore commonly known to others as the Singapore Paranormal Investigators (SPI) really makes me feel intelligently insulted.

First rule for paranormal investigators from Talamasca,

“We observe the Paranormal Realm, but do not interfere.“

And what did our very own SPI do? Look at the photos.

This is the original Menhir found in Bukit Brown Cemetary.

This is what they did. ‘Restored’ the Menhir.

Maybe they did it out of good intent but haven’t they asked themselves ‘was the Menhir destroyed for a purpose?‘ I reckoned not.

As paranormal investigators they should just observe and record their findings and not interfere with anything related to it. And that includes the restoration of a Spiritual Symbol.

Thombstones were knocked over and smashed when graves have be exhumed to prevent the ’spirits’ from returning to the site according the the Discovery Channel production ‘After Life”.

Whatever it is, I seriously protest over what they have done.

The Latest

So what has the world been up to? Other than hearing people talk about the recent NYP Saga, I realised that there has been an increase in the number of Narcissist around us. Yup the little island that we call Singapore is soon turning into a giant photo booth.

Just 2 days back while on a bus towards Bishan, I was seated right at the back and a girl just one seat in front was ’secretly taking pictures of herself’. She looked to her left and back just to make sure no one was looking, up came her Nokia N70 and *Snap* she started a photo taking frenzy.

Yup, little did she know that I was at the back observing her. Less than 5 minutes later, another guy started taking pictures of him. Hmm, I admit that I was a narcissist in the past. Until I realised that my face and the camera did not make a good combination. But one thing’s for certain, I’ve never and I’ll never do it openly in front of so many people. The pictures below are suffice to illustrate my point:

Yup, and this is only the surface. I know alot of people out there who are into taking pictures of themselves. Not that I am saying that appreciating and admiring your looks is wrong. Just that with technology improving so fast, and handphone’s are getting pretty sophisticated. I predict that there will be an increasing trend of people portraying narcissistic behaviour.

Narcissism

Excessive love or admiration of oneself.
A psychological condition characterized by self-preoccupation, lack of empathy, and unconscious deficits in self-esteem.
Erotic pleasure derived from contemplation or admiration of one’s own body or self, especially as a fixation on or a regression to an infantile stage of development.
The attribute of the human psyche charactized by admiration of oneself but within normal limits.

And the worse thing about this little craze? We have ‘Ah Lians’ (typical Singaporean teenage female hooligans) taking obssessive pictures of themselves, editing them with photoshop; calling themselves names like ‘pinkster’, ‘cutester’ andthe more disturbing ‘Babester’.

Than we have ‘Ah Lian’ butches (bungs?) spiking their hair and calling themselves ‘punkster’.

How can I forget the ‘Ah Bengs’ (the opposite of Ah Lian) who call themselves ‘Rockster’, ‘Punkster?’, ‘Brothership’ and how about ‘MONSTER’.

What’s the most popular nickname for both sexes? JAPSTER!!

These people really took narcissism to a whole new level. Yup, this is the Singapore we live in.

I even have a friend who has to style his hair when he is at home? Wahaha! You know who you are. The moment he passes any mirror in the house, he’ll stop there and start fiddling with his hair.

Now tell me, what is the world up to?

Seriously this guy is damn funny! Haha, I used to hear my parents and uncle talking about him when I was a kid. But I never knew he had such a phenomenal status in the world of football until I was in secondary school.

Yes, his name is the Legendary Eric Cantona.

I’m sure most of you would have saw this advertisement on TV (The one on the Favourite Section). Especially those who have been watching soccer till the wee hours of the night. Upcoming Movie: Spider-man 3

Ok to all Spidey fans out there! I was browsing through the net and I saw this poster.

I went to verify the information on the net. No, I actually chose to believe that this was a photo taken in black and white. Until I went to Spider-man 3’s official website, did I get the shock of my life. This IS Spider-man’s new costume. Yes, in BLACK.

As quoted by the website,

“You may think you’re looking at a black and white photo. Look closely, Spider-Man wears a black suit in Spider-Man 3. Tobey Maguire returns as Peter Parker / Spider-Man in Spider-Man 3. In Theaters 5/4/07″

It’s official, a black Spider-man can only mean that an alien symbiote has taken over the body causing his costume to turn black. That will also mean that Venom will be in the next movie, if not the next next movie. Wahaha. Whatever it is, I cannot accept the fact that we are still stuck here in 2006??? Someone please invent a time machine to bring me to the future. Just 1 year will do, to see this movie. Wahaha.

Not forgetting Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst), who can ever forget her bra-less shots in the film? Haha, did I mention that one of my friend’s friend looks like her? In my school! Wahaha.. Think only my future sport columnist ~~Goob~~ will know who I am talking about. Wahaha.

S. Rajaratnam

Today (incase you didn’t know) is the funeral procession of one of Singapore’s forefathers. Yup, The late Mr S. Rajaratnam. Somehow in a way there’s a part of him in everyone of us don’t you think? Considering the fact that he was the one who brought the pledge to our country. Something every Singaporean will have to say during lower education and also during national day. I have to admit that, before his death I didn’t knew who he was at all. Yes, I am ashamed but maybe it is because he wasn’t as active as our Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. Nonetheless, I am still going to dedicate this entry to him and I sincerely send my condolences to his kins.

NYP Saga: The Return Of the Peace

Xia Lan Xue gave her farewell message. Apparently he/she has decided to close down the blog. Ghost (www.bexafraid.com) has also given a fresh breath to his blog. The Saga is finally at it’s end. And hopefully things will get better for Tammy soon.

Thank you to all the loyal readers who came to this blog without using those crude search words on technorati. Thanks to all who visit Bonvdevia.blogspot.com just for the sake of getting yourself entertained by my corny entries. Haha.

A Newspaper Article on The Straits Times, Home (Friday 24 Feb, 2006) page 14 is the first time Tammy had spoken up about this case. I shall not post the article here because I myself feel that I should stop posting about this case anymore.

Well, we shall wish Tammy all the best and send her our best regards. Be strong and move on with life, you will definitely have our support!

NYP Saga: The Law

Well if you have read today’s The Straits Times, H8 you would have seen the article related to the NYP saga.

According to the writer, the NYP student has filed a polic report. ‘The police have confirmed that they received a report in connection to the case and are investigating’ quoted the article.

NYP authorities have also gave a confirmation that ‘Tammy‘ is in fact one of their students. And her boyfriend who is still in a relationship with her is 21 years old this year and have just completed his National Service.

He is very angry and disappointed and he hopes that everything will die down soon as he wants to concentrate on his work. Good news for him, this Saga is really dying down. Just that some a** h**e is claiming that there are 8 videos on the net now. How reliable is that I won’t know. Anybody who can verify that please contact me. deathgoth87@hotmail.com

It’s a good thing that the article mentions that both of them will not face any criminal charges as under the law, it is alright for 2 consenting adults to film themselves having sex for private viewing. This was a statement giving by a criminal lawyer interviewed by the reporter. However it is illegal to ditribute, show, import, or possess any obscene video recording so the culpirt who started sending out the video is in really deep shit.

Meanwhile ‘Tammy’ is undergoing counselling provided by the school and is having her examinations.

Again to dispell some common rumours, the video was not mass-mailed to NYP’s staff or students. The video was also not taken on school grounds which I think is pretty obvious. Look at the bed and you would know.

BLOGWARS: Episode II The Fallen Blue Snow

Take a look at this Xia Lan Xue has been taken over by a very clever person I must say. I clicked on the website link yesterday morning only to realise that the blog cannot be found.

And now some smart guys has taken over the website and turn it to his advantage. I gotta hand it to him, that was a very clever move. What really happen to Xia Lan Xue? Nobody knows. Even the writer did not give an explaination for this little ‘mishap‘. Well there are a couple of speculations made by XLX’s new owner which I think can be a little entertaining to read. Haha. Well no harm going to the site to check it out. At least the writer tried to divert everyone’s attention away from the sex video with a little bit of Sports news. Singapore vs Iraq in the AFC Asian Cup. Wahaha.

I feel that the original XLX had no right to call him a squatter. I mean, it wasn’t his fault that the blog cannot be found. The new XLX (I shall name him/her XLX2) was just being smart! Hur hur.
